About

Inka Raqay, also known as Allqu Willka, is an archaeological site situated in the Ayacucho Region of Peru. Located on top of the mountain Allqu Willka in the Huanta Province's Iguain District, this site is characterized by ruins that once served as a storehouse or dormitory for farm laborers during the Inca Empire. These structures, predominantly walls without roofs, provide insight into the architectural style and functional aspects of Incan infrastructure, highlighting the civilization's emphasis on agricultural management and labor organization. The site dates back to the Late Post-Classical Period, around the 15th century CE, reflecting the Incan Empire's expansion and administrative sophistication during that era.
