The Sugh Ancient Mound, located in Haryana, India, is an important archaeological site with significant historical ties to the Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain traditions. The mound, with a circumference of approximately 5 km, is situated on the west bank of the Yamuna river floodplains. A notable feature of the site is the Buddhist stupa, identified with the ancient town of Srughna, which highlights the religious and cultural importance of the area during the Classical Period.
