About

Sde Nahum is a contemporary kibbutz located in the Beit She'an Valley of northern Israel. Established on land redistributed in 1949 from the nearby evacuated Palestinian village of Saffuriya, Sde Nahum covers an area of agricultural significance within the Valley of Springs Regional Council. The kibbutz reflects the socio-political dynamics of its time, having been a part of broader land redistribution efforts in the aftermath of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. While Sde Nahum itself may not have archaeological features or historical structures from ancient periods, it represents a significant moment in 20th-century history concerning land use and settlement patterns in the region.
