About
Khu Bua is an archaeological site located in the Khu Bua subdistrict, southeast of Ratchaburi, Thailand. It dates back to the 6th century CE and was part of the Dvaravati kingdom, featuring a roughly rectangular layout of 800x2000 meters, surrounded by an earthen wall and moat. The site comprises 44 archaeological locations, including the significant and well-preserved Wat Khlong Suwankhiri. Excavations have unearthed ceramic figurines, stone tablets, and wheels of law, reflecting the Indian Gupta Dynasty's influence on the region's Buddhist culture. This site showcases the artistic and technological advancements of the Dvaravati period, with various stucco and clay sculptures. Most artifacts are displayed at the Ratchaburi National Museum.
