About
Kfar Monash is a modern moshav in central Israel, established in 1946 by Jewish former Australian servicemen. The settlement is notably recognized in archaeological circles for the discovery of the Kfar Monash Hoard. While primarily a contemporary habitation site, its archaeological significance is linked to this hoard discovery, which adds a layer of historical interest. The moshav's initial economic activities included a sophisticated printing press, although agriculture—primarily citrus orcharding—soon became the dominant livelihood following an economic downturn in the 1950s. Kfar Monash's proximity to the Ruppin Academic Center further enhances its cultural and academic significance within the region.
