About

Krejansberget, located in Siuntio, Finland, is a significant archaeological site featuring a large Bronze Age burial site. The site is situated atop a cliff that rises approximately 70 meters above sea level, making it the highest point in the Siuntio Church Village. During the Bronze Age, elevated landforms like Krejansberget were among the few visible areas above the then-higher sea levels, making them ideal for burial purposes. The burial mounds at this site are legally protected and their preservation is overseen by the Finnish Heritage Agency. Krejansberget is accessible via a nature trail originating from the Siuntio Local History Museum, highlighting its importance not only as a cultural heritage site but also as a point of natural interest. The site's burial mounds reflect the burial practices and reverence for elevated landscapes during the Bronze Age.
