About
Tel Shor, also known as Tell Thorah, is an archaeological site located in the western Jezreel Valley. The site features a small settlement mound rising 5-6 meters above the surrounding alluvial plain, with artifacts spanning from the Early Bronze Age through to the modern era. Key discoveries include a Roman-era mausoleum, numerous Persian-period burials, and artifacts from various periods, including a Greek-imported clay figurine. The site's location near springs and a marsh suggests a favorable environment for ancient habitation. It is also possibly linked to the biblical town of Maralah.
