The basilica, which dates back to the 6th century CE, is a three-part structure that showcases the early Christian architectural style of the region. The accompanying necropolis, with 124 graves, was actively used from the 6th to the 12th centuries CE, offering insights into the burial practices and religious customs of the post-classical period.
