Mamontovaya Kurya is a significant Palaeolithic archaeological site located on the Usa River in the Komi Republic, Russia. This site is notable for its assemblage of stone artifacts and animal bones, alongside a mammoth tusk bearing human-made marks. These findings provide the oldest documented evidence of hominin activity at this latitude, dating back approximately 40,000 years before present, around 38,000 BCE.
