About
The Tomb of Eve, located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is a site of considerable historical significance, believed by some to be the burial place of the biblical Eve. The tomb is reputed to be of extraordinary dimensions, historically noted at approximately 130 meters in length. Various Islamic historians and travelers, such as Idrisi and Ibn Jubayr, referenced its existence from the 10th century onwards. Despite its destruction by Prince Faisal in 1928 and subsequent sealing in 1975 to prevent pilgrimages, the site remains a point of interest due to its association with religious history and local lore. The tomb's mention by numerous historical figures underscores its once-prominent status as a cultural landmark.
