About
The Hassle site in Örebro County, Sweden, is renowned for the discovery of the Hassle treasure, an assemblage of imported Bronze Age artifacts. The treasure includes a large bronze cauldron, two Hallstatt-type swords, a bronze pommel, two bronze buckets adorned with 'ciste a cordoni', small bronze hooks, and twelve large circular bronze plates with iron fittings. These artifacts suggest the site's significance in trade and cultural exchange during the Late Bronze Age, as they originate from regions such as Italy, Greece, and central Europe. Currently housed in the Swedish History Museum, these items reflect the ritualistic and possibly ceremonial importance of the site, offering insights into the cross-cultural interactions of the time.
