Zar Cave, located in the southern part of Zar village in the Kalbajar District of Azerbaijan, is a significant archaeological site from the Upper Paleolithic period. The cave provides a rich tapestry of prehistoric human life, evidenced by its cave paintings, which depict the artistic endeavors of its ancient occupants. Various tools such as flint knives and arrowheads, as well as bone combs, have been unearthed, indicating the technological capabilities of the inhabitants. Additionally, traces of milling activity have been found on boards resembling those from the nearby Tağlar Cave, suggesting a shared or interacting cultural group.
