Khanileh, a village situated in the Central District of Ravansar County, Kermanshah Province, Iran, boasts a rich archaeological history. This site is strategically located on the southern slopes of the Salakan range, offering a commanding view of the Gomeshter plain, which likely attracted prehistoric settlers. Archaeological evidence indicates continuous occupation from the Chalcolithic period through to the Islamic era. Key features include an ancient mound with visible remnants from the Chalcolithic, Bronze, and Iron Ages, along with an Iron Age cemetery within the village. Parthian occupation evidence is present in the form of a mound south of the village. The presence of springs and the elevated vantage point underscore its historical significance as a settlement location.
