This site features the remains of a Yayoi period settlement accompanied by a large shell midden. The midden, with a diameter of 15 meters and depth of 2.5 meters, contains layers dating from the final stages of the Jōmon period to the early Kofun period, encapsulating the entire Yayoi era. Artifacts such as stone tools and pottery from both the Yayoi and Jōmon cultures indicate cultural coexistence.
