About
The Turgay triradial swastika, located near the village of Urpek in northern Kazakhstan, is a notable Neolithic geoglyph. Part of the larger group of Steppe Geoglyphs, these earthworks provide insight into the symbolic and artistic practices of Neolithic communities in the region. The swastika shape, often seen in various cultures, may have held particular significance in the past. Its construction involved the careful arrangement of soil and other natural materials to create a distinct shape visible from above. The geoglyph reflects the advanced planning and communal efforts of prehistoric societies in the Kazakh steppe, offering a unique glimpse into their worldviews and cultural expressions.
