About

Ain W Zain, or Ain Wazein, is notable for its natural grotto located in the Chouf District of Lebanon. Discovered in 2003, the grotto features a complex network of passages, crevices, and vaults shaped by the natural flow and pressure of water over time. Its significant geological formations include a variety of stalagmites and stalactites, making it a site of interest for both tourists and scientific researchers. Positioned at an altitude of 1040 meters above sea level, the grotto is accessible from Ain Wazein-Batloun road. The site's unique geological characteristics make it an educational resource, offering opportunities for scientific tours and research. Although Ain W Zain is not an archaeological site in the traditional sense, its natural formations are invaluable for geological and environmental studies.
