Aq Kupruk, located in Balkh Province, northern Afghanistan, is an archaeologically significant site known for its Neolithic remains. It comprises four sub-sites that have yielded a variety of artifacts, highlighting an advanced stone tool industry and some of the earliest known stone sculptures. The site also holds evidence of early domestication practices with remains of sheep and goats, pointing to an agrarian lifestyle. Additionally, fragments of beaten copper and terracotta artifacts suggest a community engaged in craft activities.
